Che Dieguito
About This Spot
Stepping into Che Dieguito feels like entering a warm embrace of community and flavor, where the rich aromas of open flames and fresh herbs mingle effortlessly with the hum of lively conversations. Nestled in the heart of Crucecita, this Argentinian restaurant invites you into a spirited yet relaxed atmosphere, where local charm meets the passion of Argentine parrilla culture.
Here, the pace is unhurried but engaging—perfect for savoring the moments between bites and catching the subtle rhythms of live music that occasionally fill the space. The friendly, attentive staff create a genuine sense of welcome, making you feel as though you’re dining among friends who understand the joy of sharing well-prepared food.
Che Dieguito’s offerings reveal thoughtful attention to traditional Argentine flavors, gently woven into the local setting. The air carries hints of sizzling rib eye and smoky choripán, while the chimichurri accompanies each bite with a herbaceous lift that lingers delightfully on the palate. Whether it’s the tender cuts from the parrilla or the comforting presence of empanadas, each dish encourages you to slow down and appreciate the layers of taste and texture crafted with care.
This is a place where moments unfold naturally—the satisfying crunch of perfectly golden French fries, the rich depth of bone marrow served as an appetizer, or the refreshing balance of sangrias that feel just right rather than overly sweet. The experience here goes beyond the food itself, blending the essence of Argentine culinary traditions with the rhythms and warmth of the local scene.
For those seeking a dining experience that feels authentic, alive with subtle details, and wrapped in a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, Che Dieguito offers an unpretentious yet memorable invitation to savor life’s flavorful moments.

Lunch begins at one, and all 4 of us were very pleased with our dishes. The large Che salad is really large, steaks were delicious and mixed grill fabulous. Service was excellent also; our waitress spoke good English.

Amazing steak and the burger was delicious. Great wine selection and interesting tiramisu. Never had it with cinnamon in place of coco power.

Everything was delicious. The sangrias have been the best we’ve had in Huatulco - the right ratio of wine to juice so that it is not too sweet. The grilled bone marrow was a great appetizer. We got the Che Grill for one and the grilled ribeye. In hindsight the grill for one would have fed both of us. The potato with bacon cream is very tasty but the star side dish was the French fries. Crispy and airy and probably the best fries we’ve ever had! All of the meats were well flavoured and very tender. We ordered a traditional empanada (comes with grill plate) and they accidentally gave us the cheese and corn empanada. Our server was very kind and apologetic that if we didn’t like it they’d bring us another one but we didn’t need another as the corn and cheese was so delicious that we ordered six more empanadas to take home. The pastry is so delicate - some of the best empanadas we’ve had.

I can’t stop thinking about our meal! We loved how friendly the staff was, our waiter even helped entertain our little 11 month old. Started off our meal with a capresse and grill pear salads. Delicious!! I definitely recommend having one of the grill platters and sharing with a friend. Finished off the meal with a tiramisu. So rich and creamy!

Found put about this place from our neighbor. Pleasantly surprised. Delicious Empanadas and had the beef shortribs. That chimichuri sauce really pulled it all together. Cocktails were wonderful as well. Exceeded expectations

Ate here twice in 3 days. Only had empanadas and the pear salad. I’ve always love Argentinean empanadas and these did not disappoint. Even took some to go the second time . Bottles of wine reasonable.
